c. Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan / Colonnaded temple
Rose as high as 36 meters with 37 tapered pole makes this temple stand out when viewed from Rachamanoen Road. Sharp edges which is a symbol of truth into the light or commonly referred to called Thai citizens as Bodhipak Khiyadhamma.
Go back to previous centuries, which is about mid-19th century, King Rama III ordered the construction of this temple as a gift to MC Somanas, who later ascended the throne and get the title of Miss Somanas Vadhanawadi. Then, at the time of the reign of King Rama V and VI, the ends of the tapered pole increasing prettified. Of course, it makes this temple looked much more majestic than ever.
In it, there is the ordination hall with rectangular pillars, then, there are also Loha Prasat as a sacred place in this building. If it rises to the top floor, right in the middle, visitors will find several statues of Buddha. Another replica of this statue is actually also be found in India and Sri Lanka. However, it turns out nearly all were damaged, making the statue at Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan be the only remaining among its kind.
Apart from the ends of the poles are pointed and in large numbers, this temple is also known for its market talisman. Almost everyone who needs a talisman will go to this place because many traders around selling amulets of various sizes, shapes, and a variety of uses.
