Government's Role in Handling Negative Impact and Positive of Tourism in Thailand

Tourism is an enhancement for regional development. tourism develops in synergy with other industries. tourism development is an efficient instrument that can help achieve the harmonious economic growth in connection with beneficial social recessions and helps ensure the protection and renovation of the natural and cultural assets.
Planning of tourism includes drawing up the future that can be acceptable to the thailand inhabitants and visitors. without planning and controlling mechanism the development of tourism may end by having social, cultural and economic distortions, which will be reflected in the relationship between tourists and inhabitants thailand.
The role tourist in thailand can be shown with two way positive social impacts and negative social impacts, such as :


1.      Positive Social Impact :
Show respect to the symbols of Buddhism. Statues or paintings of Buddha are considered sacred by the people of Thailand. Prison sentences can be imposed against those who act in an offensive against these symbols, even if done by foreigners.
Dressing and acting lakulah a polite when visiting Buddhist temples. Not justified wearing a sleeveless shirt and shorts when entering these places. This rule is really enforced. There are officers who oversee special clothing worn visitors.
Buddhist monk is a person who is respected in Thai society. In the public transportation, give your seat for a Buddhist monk, if by chance all the seats are occupied. Also, do not always behave like sitting with crossed legs while flying near a monk.
Bend as it passes in front of people, especially in front of older people. Use the right hand when receiving or giving something. Thai  people  often shake hands. Instead, do the wai, which is clasped hands in front of the chest.
Learn a few simple words and phrases in Thai bahasas like "hello" and "thank you". Thai people are very happy when saw foreign tourists who try to learn their language.

2.      Negative Social Impact :
King and his family are highly respected people of Thailand. Offensive action against the symbols of kings such as stepping on or stepping on his portrait sculpture is criminal behavior and could be in the process in court.
Do not show excessive behavior against intimate partners. Kissing or hugging in public is an act unusual in Thai culture. The head is the highest body part and must be respected according to Thai culture. Touching someone's head or hair is a very rude act. Do not ever do that to anyone.
Do not take pictures of Buddhist monks, although he was not doing religious rituals. Buddhist monk may not touch the opposite sex. If you are a woman, keep your distance when communicating with them. Do not touch it.
